The owner of an automobile has sixty days from the acquisition date to document it. Annual renewal is necessary. You can renew your documentation virtually, via mail to the Motor Vehicle Department's Registration Renewal Division, or physically at a Motor Vehicle Department office.
New car owners can document their vehicle physically at a field office of the Motor Vehicle Department.
Document of Title (request for a substitute title with Application Form MVD-10901);
Bill of sale;
Odometer Disclosure Statement (Form MVD-10187);
An acceptable driver's permit;
Certificate of Origin from the manufacturer;
If another person registers the vehicle for the new car owner, the state's Motor Vehicle Power of Attorney is required;
Documentation costs; and
Evidence of Insurance with Basic specifications:
Twenty-five thousand US dollars for a single person's physical wound or demise;
Fifty thousand US dollars for two or more persons' physical wound or demise; and
Ten thousand US dollars for belonging destruction in any crash.
Within thirty days of acquisition, a boat has to be documented with the state. You can renew your documentation physically at an MVD field office.
