The Indiana vehicle bill of sale a required document for the purchase or transfer of a private vehicle from one owner to another and must be presented when registering with the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV). If it’s unavailable then the new owner will be unable to register the vehicle under their name. Keep in mind that the bill of sale must be completed and signed by the purchaser and the seller.

For someone that moves to the state from another location, they will have sixty days to register their vehicle. The registration is done once every year and is done based on the last name of the individuals. Most vehicle registration can be renewed online.
