This transaction could be a trade, purchase, or sale. Whatever the case, it’s a required document in Idaho and is used to register the vehicle.

A seller needs to provide one at the time of signing the title over to a new owner. It’s only after the buyer and seller have signed the bill of sale that the buyer will be able to take the car to get registered at the DMV under their name. In addition to the bill of sale, an odometer disclosure form is needed if the vehicle was manufactured within the last 20 years and is under 16,000 pounds.
